The Endocrine System controls slow body processes such as cell growth and regulates the amount of hormones in the blood. It
also regulates tissue function, mood, growth/development, sexual and reproductive functions, and metabolism. Hormones and
glands make up the endocrine system. These affect most of the cells in our bodies. The glands that make up the endocrine system
are the hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pineal body, and reproductive glands. The hypothalamus links
the endocrine and nervous systems.
